Winter has arrived in the City of Heroes

The yearly winter event has opened in City of Heroes providing players with a good deal of activities and rewards. Just by logging in between December 15th, 2008 and January 4th, 2009, players receive a temporary debt protection power, the Frostbitten Badge and the Holiday Cheer Temporary Power, which you can use to give another player a gift.

Every zone has been loaded with gifts, which can either contain presents (for the good) or foes (for the naughty). Once again you can collect candy canes, but there's a twist this year. There is a special travel power recipe set that will only be available for the next 14 days. A good tip would be to build up a stock as it's going to become quite expensive once the number of recipes in the auction house declines in the coming months.

Everything is centered around the Pocket D party zone, which includes a new enhanced ski run. Go earn medals brave heroes.
